Toyota Safety Sense Provides Drivers with Peace of Mind

February 24th, 2017 by

Toyota is an automotive brand known for safety. With the new Toyota Safety Sense Technology, drivers will have access to cutting-edge technology to stay safer on the roadways. It acts as a sort of co-pilot on the road. Toyota Safety Sense includes: Automatic High Beams, Pre-Collision System, and Lane Departure Alert.

Automatic High Beams assist you in seeing further at night. Toyota vehicles equipped with this feature automatically have high beams on. These switch to low beams, however, when another vehicle is approaching or has passed in front of your car, truck or SUV.

The Pre-Collision System (PCS) notifies the driver that a frontal collision could occur. It does this by using a series of audio and visual prompts. If the driver doesn’t respond, the system will automatically brake.

The Lane Departure Alert (LDA) helps to keep your vehicle in its own lane. The system alerts you with both an audio and visual alert if the vehicle strays to another lane.

We hope that this information helps you learn more about Toyota’s Safety Sense Technology. If you have any questions about it, please stop in and see us here at Red McCombs Toyota. We’re located in San Antonio, TX, and look forward to meeting you.
